Online applications are invited from Indian citizens who fulfill the following essential qualifications and other eligibility conditions as on 08.03.2025 for preparation of a panel for filling up of 241 vacancies for the post of Junior Court Assistant (Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted) placed in Level 6 of Pay Matrix with initial Basic Pay of Rs. 35,400/-. The approximate Gross Salary as per existing rate of allowances including HRA comes to Rs. 72,040/- per month (pre-revised pay scale PB-2 with Grade Pay of Rs. 4200/-)

 

The number of vacancies is tentative and subject to change i.e. increase or decrease due to administrative reasons

 

Essential Qualifications :

  •  Bachelor’s degree of a recognized University
  •  Minimum speed of 35 w.p.m. in English Typing on Computer 
  • Knowledge of Computer operation

Age Requirement: 

 

Candidates should not be below 18 years and above 30 years of age as on 08.03.2025. Usual relaxation in age will be admissible to SC/ST/OBC/ differently abled /Ex-Servicemen and dependents of Freedom Fighters as per extant Government Rules. There will be no upper age limit for departmental candidates of the Registry of Supreme Court. However, no relaxation in age will be allowed to the candidates working in other Government departments etc.

 

Reservation

 

Reservation in direct recruitment for the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, and differently abled shall be in accordance with the Rules, Orders and Notifications issued from time to time by the Government of India in respect of posts carrying the pay scal  corresponding to the pay scale prescribed for the post of Junior Court Assistant, subject to such modification, variation or exception as the Chief Justice may, from time to time, specify. Reservation for dependents of Freedom Fighters shall be in accordance with the orders issued by the Chief Justice of India.

 

Scheme of Examination

 

The eligible candidates will have to appear in the tests in the following subject:-

 

1.

Objective Type Question paper with multiple choice answers containing 100 questions (consisting of 50 General English questions including comprehension, 25 General Aptitude questions and 25 General Knowledge questions)

2.

Objective Type Computer Knowledge Test (25 questions)

3.

Typing (English) test on Computer with minimum speed 35 w.p.m. (mistakes allowed upto 3% of total words to be typed)

10 minutes

4.

Descriptive Test (in English Language) consisting of Comprehension   passage,   Precis   Writing   and   Essay

Writing

2 hours

 

The candidates who qualify in the Objective Type Written Test and Objective Type Computer Knowledge Test will only be called for Typing Speed Test on Computer and Descriptive Test and those who qualify the said tests will be required to appear for an Interview before an Interview Board and qualify the Interview by securing minimum qualifying marks. Number of candidates to be called for Interview shall not exceed the ratio of 1:3 i.e. 3 candidates against 1 vacancy subject to availability of candidates who would be qualified on the basis of above Tests. After qualifying in prescribed tests and Interview, the selected candidates will be empaneled in the order of merit for appointment as Junior Court Assistant. The candidates may note that mere placement in panel does not confer any right on the candidates to claim appointment for the post of Junior Court Assistant.

 

The Test will be conducted at 128 Test Centres in 28 States/Union Territory as per Annexure- ‘A’

అర్హత: పోస్టును అనుసరించి బ్యాచిలర్ డిగ్రీ ఉత్తీర్ణత, కంప్యూటర్ పరిజ్ఞానం, టైపింగ్తో పాటు పని అనుభవం ఉండాలి.


వయోపరిమితి: 18 నుంచి 30 ఏళ్ల మధ్య ఉండాలి. ఓబీసీలకు మూడేళ్లు, ఎస్సీ/ ఎస్టీ అభ్యర్థులకు ఐదేళ్లు, దివ్యాంగులకు పదేళ్ల సడలింపు ఉంటుంది.


జీతం: నెలకు రూ. 72,040/- .

Registration of application and payment of fee

 

Eligible candidates are required to apply online for which the link will be provided through Supreme Court Website, www.sci.gov.in. The application will be accepted through online registration only which is likely to start from 05.02.2025. Candidates will be required to pay non-refundable Application/Test fee of Rs. 1000/- for General/OBC candidates and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Differently Abled/Freedom Fighter candidates plus bank charges through online mode only. Fee shall not be accepted in any other form. No postal application shall be accepted. The fee shall be paid online through payment gateway provided by UCO Bank.

 

Starting/Closing Date for online applications

 

The starting date for online registration of application is 05.02.2025 at 10.00 A.M. and last date thereof is 08.03.2025 at 23.55 P.M.


General Instructions

  1. The candidates applying for the post of Junior Court Assistant should ensure that they fulfill the prescribed eligibility conditions for the said post. Their admission at all the stages of examination viz., Written/Typing/Computer Tests and the Interview for which they are admitted by this Registry will be purely provisional subject to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility conditions by way of furnishing documentary proof in support thereof and all the requisite documents for eligibility of his/her candidature for the said post will be checked at the time of interview. If on verification at any time before or after the said tests/interview, it is found that the candidate does not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions, his/her candidature for the examination shall stand cancelled without any notice or further reference.
  2. The candidate will be required to upload the scanned copy of his/her recent photograph, signature and requisite documents while submitting the online application form in accordance with the instructions displayed on the link provided for the purpose. Candidates should ensure that the particulars filled in the online application form are correct in all respects before final submission of application form. Application once submitted cannot be withdrawn or modified.
  3. The candidate shall be required to fill up the required data in the application and make payment of fee online in accordance with the instructions displayed on the link provided for the purpose.
  4. After successful completion of online application form, candidates will be able to preview his/her application. Candidates are advised to get a printout of the filled up application form for his/her record. Printout of filled up application need not be sent to the Registry.
  5. The candidate should retain his/her Application number carefully for generation of admit card from the link to be provided on the website of Supreme Court of India and for any other information regarding prescribed Tests/Interview.
  6. Candidates are advised to visit Website of Supreme of India (Recruitment link) for updates regarding the post of Junior Court Assistant at regular intervals
  7. In case a candidate submits more than one application form, he/she must note that application which is submitted in last will only be entertained by the No correspondence requesting to accept previous application(s) will be entertained by the Registry.
  8. Candidates must note that fee once paid will not be refunded in any circumstances even in cases where fee for more than one application form has been paid by a candidate. The candidates of General/OBC categories paying application fee as prescribed for reserved category will not be taken into consideration.
  9. Name and Date of Birth entered in the High School Certificate/10th Board Examination or equivalent certificate issued by the concerned Board/Council will only be accepted. Any change in name or surname should be supported by gazette notification. The applicant is to submit his online application as per changed name/ surname and the documents in support of change of name/surname will be verified at the time of interview.
  10. PENALTY FOR MISCONDUCT IN THE EXAMINATION: An applicant, who is or has been declared guilty of impersonation or of submitting fabricated document(s) or which has been tampered with or of making statements which are incorrect or false, or of suppressing material information or of using or attempting support for his candidature, may, in addition to the liability for criminal prosecution would also invite such action as deemed proper at the discretion of the Competent Authority.
  11. No request for change of category filled in online application form will be entertained.
  12. APPLICATION WHICH DO NOT COMPLY WITH THE INSTRUCTIONS SHALL BE SUMMARILY REJECTED.
  13. The differently abled candidates will be extended the same concessions/facilities as are allowed by SSC/UPSC in Written and Typing Tests conducted by them.
  14. No TA/DA will be payable to the candidates for appearing in the tests/interview.
  15. No Admit Cards will be sent by post. The candidates are to download Admit Card for all stages of Tests/interview from Supreme Court Website.
  16. The dates of the Objective Type Written Test, Typing Speed Test on Computer, Descriptive Test and Interview will be notified on the Supreme Court website i.e. sci.gov.in. Information will also be sent through SMS and e-mail to the candidate’s on their registered mobile number and e-mail. Therefore, Candidates should have a valid personal E-mail ID and mobile number and it should be kept active during the entire recruitment process.
  17. Candidates working in State/Central Govt. departments/Bank/PSUs etc. will be required to submit No Objection Certificate from their employer at the time of interview.
  18. The Registry reserves its right to short-list candidates in any manner as may be considered appropriate with the approval of Competent Authority. The Registry reserves the right to cancel/restrict/enlarge/ modify/alter the recruitment process, if needed, without issuing any notice.
  19. In case of any dispute(s), the jurisdiction will be Delhi.
